Angel AF1 Wood Spool Cover, Peyote, Flat Even

Decorate a wooden spool using Peyote stitch (Flat even) and size 11 Delica beads (8 colors).
Along with the Spool and beads you will need: Fireline size 4 or 6 lb, Nymo Thread size B or D, size 10 or 12 beading needle and scissors or snips or Thread Burner.

Spool Lip Thickness varies: 2 patterns included, one for Thin Lip (original) spools 48 around x 13 High, the 2nd pattern is for Thick Lip Spools 48 around x 12 High.

The spool size is 1-3/16" x 7/8" and are available at Sova-Enterprises.com.

I do stain or paint my spools before adding the beadwork. It might be that the 'raw unfinished' look is the look you want, a clear coat is a good idea.
Display: To sit the spool as a decoration not much else is required. Hang the spools requires some findings and additional work.
